Eibach springs/Tokico HP Shocks Upgrade

Thats right, I finally upgraded the old and worn factory springs and shocks to some Eibach springs and Tokico HP Shocks. The car is slightly lowered, but the ride feels great. I'm a spirited street driver and the car feels so much better now.

prokit is def only 1 inch if you have good shocks. sportlines are much lower i would say almost 2 inches from what ive seen.

with prokit you get 2 finger gap all around

If the sportlines are about 2" can the Tokico blues handle them? i hear they are only good for about 1.5"

RallyeRedRider has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Re: Eibach springs/Tokico HP Shocks Upgrade

Here is a pic of my car with Sportline springs, to give you a comparison shot.

Edit: My suggestion is to go with the prokit if you want to add a body kit of any sort in the future, go with the sportlines if you don't. A body kit with the sport lines would end up destroyed if it's a DD.

Re: Eibach springs/Tokico HP Shocks Upgrade

Thanks RallyeRedRider. That's what i needed to see because i got an 02 EX still on those stock hubs and didn't really know how it would turn out. ill go with the sportlines b/c i don't think ill be putting any kits on. I might end up gettin some 00 SI/03 EX rims to go with that. i think it will look nice when its done.

Re: Eibach springs/Tokico HP Shocks Upgrade

Well that i would like actually. Only if it weren't so expensive. I just got the car a yr ago and payments are enough with school and insurance. i barely had enough to save for the suspension but i need to do this b/c i love to drive in the hills. Hell i put 30k miles on the car this year.

Re: Eibach springs/Tokico HP Shocks Upgrade

since i m not going to do any auto-X or track day in the near future. Need $$ for school and craps. I have decided to go blue shocks and struts. however, i havent decided the drop and the springs.
doing mad research now..

edit: From gearbox's pic, He still have a pretty good ground clearance with OEM lip kit.
I wanna see the ground clearance of sportline with lip-kit. Anyone?

Re: Eibach springs/Tokico HP Shocks Upgrade

i was looking into these shocks... tockico hp, but still deciding on what springs i should go with

how do these shocks handle the 1.5 drop?

I want a 1.5 drop also, but i also want my suspension to last.....

was thinking about Tanabe NF210, Eibach Prokit, Eibach Sportlines, or H&R sport springs....

what u guys suggest?

Re: Eibach springs/Tokico HP Shocks Upgrade

i used to scrape all the time with stock shocks, now i never do anymore. its perfect height, with tokico shocks and prokit spring and oem lips. any lower and i wouldnt like it. ride is also excellent and with 2 finger gap in the fender, theres extra room if you carry passengers or stuff

Do any of you have 03-05 w/60mm bolts on struts? If so did you have to drill out your blues? Thanks
