I recent bought some smoke headlights off a buddy of mine and i cant seem to find if they are legal or not. I have h4 8000k hyper blue white bulbs with the headlights and i have noticed that they dont look as bright as they prob. should be. Any clue if the smoke on the headlights is dimming the light?

Of course smoked headlights are illegal- they modify OEM specs and hinder the light output. 8000K is also a horrible color temperature for anything besides lighting up your computer case. Your about 3000k over what a bright white would look like. The higher up the color temp scale you go, the worse the output is going to be. The same is true for very low numbers like 2000k, you wont be able to see much at all.

well, of course the smoke headlamp is gonna block some of the light out put like "TRIZ" said. what u should do is get a 4000-5000k crystal white HID ..it will give u better light output.
