Looking to buy new shocks/struts for my EP
Looking to buy new shocks/struts for my EP
I need some help. I have a 2002 SI and for the last 4 years I have been on stock shocks and sportlines. I know the shocks/struts have to be just about shot. When I get my tax return Friday I want to see if I can get what I need or if I need to save up a little more.
I live up north with a lot of snow and this is making me think coil overs to raise my car for winter. But I am not sure if I need that for a 1.5" drop. I do not auto X I just love to drive. I want a good shock that will hold up. I was thinking Spec-D but when I called them the steering arm is in the same place as stock so that will not correct the bumb steer.
Over all I want a good shock that will hold up and a setup that will help with the bumb steer.
Thanks

Second, raising and lowering the car for seasons isn't a bad idea, just costly. Say you get the height settings to a place you like them, then you have to go for an alignment. So then winter rolls along, it will take you at least a week or so to change the height to a place where you like it, then you have to get another alignment. You are looking at 2+ weeks of time adjusting the height and at least $160 worth of alignments a year.
Third, if you want to keep the sportlines, just get some D specs or konis.

Thanks,
Good point for the alignments. That is why I post.
So is there any none coilovers that have the arm change then or are we SOL on that?
I guess my last question would be where is the best place to get the D specs from? I just do not like the Konis because of the modding work you have to do.

1) You can try to get some inverted tie rod ends.

2) You can try this http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread.php?t=494883
Other than that you are SOL.
