thinking of buying the AEM FIC for my Stage 2 cam...

ill make a thread but what do you think.

Well it would be better than a e-manage and pcs xfc, but not 100% ideal. It will get the job done though

it wont relearn like my VAFC2 keeps doing...

this thing can control closed loop correct?

can it fix the idle issue with the Stage 2 (n/a) cam also?

It will be able to control closed loop if programmed correctly.

It is not strong enough to solve the idle issue 100% with the cam.

V-AFC2 is teh suxorz when it comes to tuning

You NEED to know what your AFRs are if you are tuning it youself.

How would you tune it without a wideband?

Yes, but I always like a wideband in the car for a few reasons:

1) comparison sake to the dyno's one
2) know how my tune is holding up
3) allows me to see if there is persay some equipment problems (say it runs rich all of a sudden because you have a crack in the manifold)

one last thing

when i install the stage 2 cam will i for any reason need to advance the timing?

or just retard it?

because the FIC can only retard correct?

That will depend on how much she allows (the motor). She might only want some small retard or she may want tons of advance.
