guys/gals...
to whoever claimed that they did their own installation of the AEM pulleys...i was doing my DIY of the pulleys yesterday afternoon....started at about 5ish and ended around 9ish....WTF!!!...
some of u guys claimed that it was easy enough to do....well, i only got to put my power steering pulley in....i can't freaking figure how to loosen the belt tentioner for the alternator belt....i tried alot of crap.....me and 2 other guys were trying to figure out what to do....we gave up....and the stupid instructions that AEM had with the pulleys in the box didn't help alot either...
please help me out ASAP because i don't want my car to break down on me cuz of jus installing the power steering pulley....i need MORE specific info on installing these freaking pulleys in more detail for the Civic EXs, not lx, dx, hx, etc....
and please, don't flame me because i have searched for these DIY instructions, no luck.....and also i'm trying to save up as much money as i can das why i'm doing the installation myself....please help....

your cars not going to break down with just a pulley on. the pulley just takes power away from the accessory to your wheels.
some ppl just have a p.s. puley on to keep the power of there alternater for there amps.

Look for a wing nut down under ther power steering pump...should be copperish/goldish color. Loosen it and your alt. will be able to pivot....from there take the belt off and the nuts as needed.

I tried putting the AEM pulleys on last weekend, the PS pulley was easy. I was able to stick a screwdriver in the old pulley to loosen the but. Anyways the alternator pulley didn't have anywhere to put a screwdriver to hold it in place, I tired everything and I couldnt loosen the nut. Someone said I need a pulley puller or something? DOes anyone have any ideas how to remove that nut without removing the alternator from the car. I tried removing a bunch of bolts but the alternator wouldn't come out! Thanks for any help....
