Unleaded/Premium gasoline
Unleaded/Premium gasoline
Hi its me again, asking a very noob question.
My Dad used Unleaded gasoline for our Civic Esi '95.
But Since the price of unleaded and premium gasoline almost the same now, I would like to try using premium.
My tank is currently 50% filled up with unleaded.
Can I feed premium as early as now?no harmful effect on mixing up?
pls help.thanks

Re: Unleaded/Premium gasoline
no, actually, mid-grade is nothing more than a mixture of premium and regular, so its really no big deal, its a common myth that u cannot mix gasolines, just the same with synthetic and conventional oil, changing and mixing is no big deal
Re: Unleaded/Premium gasoline
jus remember you cant jus switch back and forth on the unleaded and premuim gas.. your car will run like **** if you switch back to unleaded once you start using premium gas,, i did that in my previous car i own .... didnt run the same soo i had to use premium gas until my car broke down..
Re: Unleaded/Premium gasoline
It is imerative that you use premium if you have a VTEC motor. For non VTEC I wouldn't use anything but midgrade. Mixing will not hurt. But once you've run the good stuff, don't switch back to regular.
Hope this helps.
