Water in the intake..???

On my 2001 civic EX i have an AEM V2 cold air intake, the dry flow air filter is located near the bottom of the engine bay near the sub frame.. My question is; when it rains and water consiquently gets kicked up from the road on to the filter will it enter the engine and cause possible damage?.. I mean, its not like its be submerged in water or anything, it just gets soaked pretty good.

any insight would be excelent. Thank you

So long as it does not get submerged you will be ok.

If the filter just gets wet, you will get some water vapor in the motor, this is not good for the motor but it will not cause Hydrolock.
