Help..problems.... Hi, I own a 2001 civic ex(si in canada) manual. The 1st quesion would be about the low idle and knocking. I actually have been a lot of reading about this problem but none of the threads tell me the solution. I think it's a really common problem though. I found this in carcomplaints.com

I brought my car to the garage but they don't really care about it and just tell me to change the spark plugs and gas filter. I read one thread that someone actually changed the spark plugs but it was still the same. I just bought ngk iridium(not installed yet) but I don't really think it's gonna solve the problem. I don't know if I should take it to the dealer because everytime when I go to them it feels like they rip me off. I really need help on this. I'm afraid of stopping at red lights(well, it hesitates when i accelerate too but...). Is there anyone who had the same problem and fixed it?
Also, I was just wondering how far you could go with full gas tank because I tested it last week and the full tank finishes around little more than 300km. I don't really drive fast unless I really have to and all I got is AEM CAI and muffler(not whole pipe). Is it natural????
Please help me out..It's getting too cold and I really want to fix it before it snows.......

by reading your post it seems to me as if you neglect servicing all together?
Change the plugs
Change the airfilter
Change the fuel filter
Change the engine oil
You'd be surprised what a service can do!!
You want to go beyond this?
Then get some o2 safe TB cleaner and use it on your TB (in and out)
just read the instruction on the use, easy as pie

dude, get a can of seafoam, not throttle body cleaner, that **** doesnt work, take a vacuum line off ur throttle body and run seafoam through it, it will help with hesitation and idle problems, its fairly easy

ok, you said you took it to the garage.....what garage?
if you didnt take it to honda then this would be my first guess so they can have your car hooked up to the computer and see whats going on?
