Get a stand alone. and its vtec... if you didnt know that, you probably shouldnt be trying to mess with the gov. Plus its super dangerous to drive that fast, and pretty much illegal.

Re: govenor
^^^ But it sure can be fun........and expensive. My governor-less EX cost me an $850 ticket for going 115 in a 70. That's what living in Germany then moving to the UK will get you. Don't bother with the messing with the speed cap unless you build the car to the point where you can break 117 the end of a 1/4-mile trap.

Dude... you are 19 years old. Why the hell do you need to be going faster than 115??? Compact cars + 115mph = compacted coffin. Are you asking for a very painful death?

Good point George.
Plus the car would be pretty much demolished and there wouldn't be much left for us to pick over at the junkyard. Don't do it man. Think of all of us folks who constantly need stock parts off wrecked Hondas.

What the hell? I'm on a cummins forum also and they talk about 110+ with their trucks and nobody jumps down their throats..and they're all older than most on here! How do you know he doesn't want to take it to a place to legally top it out? Quick to judge aren't you??

Re: govenor
People who drive trucks consistently have lower IQs than those who don't drive trucks. Truck drivers also have less to loose in a wreck because they had less to start with in the beginning.
The kid is nineteen. Why is insurance so high for guys who are less than 25? Its because they like to drive fast. When they drive fast they wreck.

Re: govenor
You've been on here since 2004. How many threads have you seen that start with "I want to remove my governor/speed limiter/rev limiter. I have I/H/E (if that) on an LX and nothing else". Come on. This has been asked, answered, flamed, beat to death a million times and it gets old after a while. Go back to your Cummins forum if it's too "rough" in here for you. No one attacked the kid, called him a ricer, jumped down his throat, whatever. 30 seconds with good old Mr. Search would have answered his question.
