'91 Civic H/B only two plugs firing
'91 Civic H/B only two plugs firing
I have a 91 civic hatchback. A few days ago it died while sitting at a stop light shortly after doing a routine tune up plus a fuel filter. Thinking it was a fuel problem I changed the fuel pump and the fuel press regulator. That did not solve the problem. Then I noticed that the #1 and 2 spark plugs are not firing. 3 and 4 are working fine. Ignition coil and unit both ohms tested good. Any help would be awesome.
Re: '91 Civic H/B only two plugs firing
Did you change the plug wires if so try replacing the ones that are miss firing with your old ones. Maybe you got a bad set of plug wires, or the ones installed are not on correctly. They should make a snap noise when pushed on the plugs. You might have to mess with the wires a bit, from time to time they get pulled on and need to be pushed back into the boot.
