D15B Mini Me Swap Options

*sigh* Here's the sad story. '93 lx, D15B7, 102hp.

If I wanted to swap to a VTEC head, what are ALL my options? I need to write them down so I can start looking for availability and deals. Can anyone give me a general gist of what else needs to be modded/replaced with a mini me swap? Thanks!

Re: D15B Mini Me Swap Options

Well, I've been doing a lot of reading, and maybe a B16 swap would be just as worth the time and money? B16 would only require minimal modifications right? I figure when I have the cash maybe I'll just go for a full swap, either D16Z6 or B16A, but I would prefer the B16 if it wouldn't be too much more of a hassle.

I rather have a B then a D, considering. If you can make it fit, go for it.

Re: D15B Mini Me Swap Options

Trouble is finding a B with low kms and in good shape.

What do you guys think of using a JDM importer? I saw a B16A for $2500, mounting, all accessories included, 35-60K. That's some serious cash, but the other alternative is scouring the yards around here, and you're probably gonna find one at best with like 200K+...

That means I'd have to hold off on a header, I could still get a CAI though and a catback exhaust, new rad and fuel line hoses and *****. It'd take me a while to save up that much coin though, but I'm sure it'd be worth it.
