WTT: your help for a small stereo trinket (South San Jose)
hey guys, I'm talking to another forum member about purchasing seat components. I dont know if they are compatible with my seats because he owns a 7th gen EX and I a 2001 HX. Here is what i am hoping for:
I would like someone with a 7th gen EX to drop by the house. We would pull both our seats and inspect the component mount points for compatibility, and perform a test fitting inside my car including testing the tensioner (I believe mine has failed). I dont want your parts, merely to inspect and test function in my car.
Shouldnt take more than an hour and a half, minus travel time. I live behind the capitol drive in on Monterey.
In exchange, I can offer a small good or service. I only do stereo stuff. I've got some trinkety stuff laying around like an electronic crossover and small drivers, a cap, etc. I can build a set of Custom tailored RCAs or any signal cable set you wish, free of charge. Just got the welder up an running if youve got a product you need stick welded. Full woodshop if you need a custom sub box (a more complex trade, we can talk details). Small stuff.
I am looking for this assistance ASAP, my potential seller communicates quickly and well, and I wish to respond in kind. I am busy Saturday, So if anyone has a free afternoon this week after close of business, I would be DELIGHTED if you can donate some time to my cause! Or Sunday/Monday, but by this week would be SUPER cool.
Also willing to entertain offers to sell me seats or seat parts locally. But just the help would be AWESOME! Scratch my back and I'd be happy to scratch yours in any way I am able.
I dont check this forum as often as I used to. if anyone would like to respond via email, I can be reached at spitvalve AT yahoo DOT com. I can pass along my cell number after that.
Thanks guys,
-Steve

are you basically asking if EX seats fit in an HX???
if so, then they should fit...just make sure that if you currently have an airbag, that the new seats do too...
also: coupe seats fit only coupes, sedan seats only fit sedans...i believe...
there may be a little more, but more-or-less, they should fit just fine

Im asking if the seat components are compatible. The HX does not support a height adjustment, the EX does. I really want to test this in person to verify height adjustments and compatibility (seat needs to sit as low as possible)
