Overpriced suspension installation?
I've always wanted to lower my EM2, and I've been saving some dough so I can buy the things I need. So far, I've got everything I need (Tokico Blues, SPC camber kit, and Eibach Sportline). I've been going around town asking for installation cost and they're quoting me around $400-600 range. It's kind of hard to believe that they're quoting me this much, since I read somewhere in the forum that they charge around $150-200. I'm fine with that, but c'mon $600? I might as well went for the coilover if I was going to spend that much. And as for the DIY installation, I'm pretty much a noob
. What do you guys think? I live in New Jersey by the way.

Well alot can go wrong while doing work like that wich adds time and labor costs, also with a camber kit you are replacing a control arm in the rear I think(someone correct me if I am spouting false info) wich adds to the time as well. My friend had a lift so I didn't have to worry about that.

It can be done DIY. Ask some of the NJ heads to help you. Given that you have all new parts, all you have to do is take the mounts off the stock and install.
Re: Overpriced suspension installation?
Install front and rear camber kit pretty much self explanaotry just by lookin at the parts. shocks and spring install since u got tokico and eibach both of these parts come wit the limited lifetime warrenty.. if u care about the warrenty then have the shop do it. if dont care about the damn warrenty then just find some of ur friend or some of guys on this form tha live in NJ to help u..
Im gettin my tokico hp and pro-kit install very soon. it cost me $175 thats it.

My very first mod to my car was tein s-techs and me and my friend installed them no problem, and we were both uber noobs with any sort of suspension work. I just followed the DIY procedure step for step and it worked out great
