TPR Customer Turbo D17a Build

Link to pictures here. (EDITED!!)
The pictures shown are a little out dated
(The Engine Build is what is new, Along with a different turbo set up)

http://www.tprcincy.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=289

What is really cool about doing this build is the customer that owns this rig is in his 60's

Re: TPR Customer Turbo D17a Build

In your post, u list all intercooler as being a spearco intercooler, with tpr lovefab manifold, the charge piping being tpr, when all that is Dezod Motorsports Turbo Kit, and u put your name on it. Not trying to bash but Dezod has went through a ton of R&D and money to get where he is, and other people putting their name on the products isn't right at all. I'm sponsored by Dezod and would hate to show up to a car show and have some guy claiming his stuff is all custom whenever i'm parked next to him with the same stuff. I live in Ohio and know exactly where Fairfield is, not sure i've ever heard of you guys, i just know of SlowMotion in Columbus and Zero Lift in Cincinnati, I would mind stopping in to see this build. Pm me for address and details.

Hmmm someone has some explaining to do, hahaha. Nice turbo though. Why spend all that money and then wuss out on the exhaust manifold??? A good exhaust manifold is just as important as a big fancy turbo.

Tiz the turbo we use on our kits. That is our V3 log manifold, Rev 1 manifold and our V3 intercooler with what looks like our pipes too!

Re: TPR Customer Turbo D17a Build

Yeah I compared the pics, theres no doubt in my mind. Why would he come on here and post that up?? We arent all out in left field. The 7thgen community didnt get to be where it is today without some partially inteligent people, haha. Its kind of insulting to me so I can imagine how pissed you must be. If someone came on here with one of my intake manifolds saying they made it I'd probably fly to where they were and smash their face in with it.

Re: TPR Customer Turbo D17a Build

This turbo kit shown is a Dezod kit,
we have since redone piping in aluminum.
we have also created a Equal Lenth Manifold
a Garret 60-1 t3 .63ar turbocharger
Full-Race Intercooler

The customer started w/ a stock d17a2 turbo (thats where the dezod kit came from)
he wanted to go bigger
so hence the sleeves,internals,etc...

i guess i should of stated "updated pix will be up shortly"
this build shown was started back in 2005.

To the Dezod Crew, the 1st turbo set up was VERY nicely done.
