here in maine the roads are quite rough, bumpy, and full of pot holes, road kill, snow drifts, and anything else our poorly, frost heaved laden holes can throw at you. wiki "frost heave" if you dont have to deal with these.

anywho why do i need these things? i do want better control and to stick to the road better, but maine is a low riders nightmare.

Well with most coilovers you have the option to raise, lower, and adjust the damping of the car whenever you need to. This will help with the pothole/winter situation.

IMO stick to a good set of dampers like koni yellows and mildly dropped spring like tein h techs or h&r springs. This way you'll keep a stock ride height for the winters of maine and still have great feel and control on the road. Where abouts in Maine are you from I have alot of friends up in Waterville/Winslow area.

In addition coilovers might be a nightmare for you when you try to adjust the height in the spring time after a bad winter with all the salt and stuff in the roads. The shocks might rust and seize bolts etc.

just get koni yellows..cuz they're really good.... and get eibach ground control...and you be able to adjust it up n down....and they're REALLY good combo

Just like everyone else said, get a nice set of shocks. I have Blues, and they're great w/ a mild drop, they do fabulous w/ bumps and frost heaves, I fly over them, and the car is rigid almost immediately!

Coilovers are more for competition anyway, and every time you adjust them you need to get an allignment

wellpick a alignment drop for your daily driving, and when you fell to go lowwer, just drop it, but roll at the aligned height friend of mine did that, and never had wear.
