I have not been to the site for some time, but I am hoping someone can help me.
I have been having a problem for some time, where when I turn the key it grids like when you hold the key too long after starting it. The engine churns and churns before finally turning over. I have had it into the shop and they have replaced the starter and the battery, but it still has not helped. Now the car will not turn over at all. When I turn the key nothing happens at all, except for all the electric things turning on (i.e. radio, lights, etc.)
Has anyone had this issue or any suggestions?
Please help!

it doesnt make the grinding noise anymore? If it did I would say the teeth on your flywheel are probably shot since your starter was replaced. Have you tried jump starting it? maybe you got a defective battery... I dunno thats strange

Yeah thats weird. Won't even turn over? Has to be something with the battery. You check the voltage? Make sure there are no cables or anything disconnected.

Jump the starter.
Run a wire from the starter solenoid to the the battery. If it turns over the problem is before the starter, if not then it is the starter.

well it still wont start without the key because the ignition wont be on and the immobilizer wont be working. All it will do is turn the engine over and check the starter and bettery.
