Makes me wonder... i pulled 23 more on 4psi higher boost. So... was it the fact it was 95º when i tested? Or is it more to do that I'm only using an E-Manage and no fancy Dezod parts... LOL

logic what size turbo are you using? If you are using a t25 that is the reason right there but if you are using the same size as the t3 dezod uses then it may be the temperture and the emanage.

Re: Dezod v3 kit + kpro = 185.5 HP
Im leaving this engine stock. The built one is getting all the goodies. I think im gonna keep the A1 head since I have talked to Crower and they are having me send in a spare A1 cam to design a Non-Vtec cam for us. Is the head core any different? I thought it was just the valvetrain. If the core is the same shouldn't they both flow about the same provided the same cam profiles?
I was tuned last Saturday which was about 85 degrees. The car pulls amazingly hard for such low boost. Whats really awesome is that it drives like stock but with WAY more power (well except for the open dump tube which sounds like a jet taking off). Im having that welded in tomorrow. Idle is perfect and no CEL.

Flow wise, I haven't seen an analysis of the portflow for each head side by side so I can't say. But you get much more airflow on a stock vtec head than a stock non vtec head when vtec is engaged. If you want to do a comparison of heads, compare mine to hector's. He's running an a1 head with a cam. On 21 psi with race fuel and a 75 shot, I believe, he hit 43- something. On pump gas with my a2 head and stage 3 cam, I hit 375 whp. There are alot of variables but I think overall you'd be better off with a vtec head.
Kpro is bad ***, isn't it?

One thing I can say is that im really glad I went with a stand alone just because of the way it runs. I also can't wait to use the boost by gear feature.
Im really looking for the low 300 hp range on pump gas with no nitrous. I may pick up an A2 head if I find one cheap enouph. Otherwise I will just stick with the A1.

nice numbers. post up some vids and track times. i've been bouncing between doing an n/a tune (i know, i know, not a lot of power) or boosting. but since my car is DD and i drive about 400 miles a week so i'm not sure boost is the best thing for me.

Im waiting to go to the track when I get some decent tires up front. I will also need to get some good axles and a new clutch before I get serious about the strip.

You're not making near enough power to need axles. Mine are still holding up fine.

The turbo is actually back out right now getting a dump tube welded into the DP. I will take pictures after I get it back in.
Re: Dezod v3 kit + kpro = 185.5 HP Updated w/ dyno sheet
I have been boosting this car on 3 different turbo setups ranging from about 170 whp to 375 whp on the same tranny and axles over the course of about 4 years. Only thing I've done was a clutch upgrade about 4 years ago.

The turbo is off for a couple days till I can get the wastegate dump tube welded up. Finding someone to tig weld it for under $100 is turning out to be harder then I thought.

I get bored very quickly LOL. I sold the s2k because black paint is a bitch and because it was SOOOO expensive to own. This time I’m doing everything right on the vic.
