Re: aem cold air w aem bypass valve
Since your still bumping this after half a year I figure it cant hurt to chime in once again.
As I suggested, I think your price is too high. NEW, this intake goes for the price you are asking. Here is one of the first few hits on google: http://www.alamomotorsports.com/aem/aem_cai_honda.html I'm sure if I called up a few shops I could get it for 200. That being said, the filter is toast, so take off 50 for a filter (http://www.carpartswholesale.com/pro...Intake+Filter). You have a bypass valve, so add 40 bucks (http://www.racingworks.com/aem_air_water_bypass.htm).
So all this put together we're talking 230 new... and your asking over that. You need to keep in mind that this is used, and being used the buyer needs reassurance that its in perfect condition- even though it is not- paint chips are visible in the few grainy pictures that have been posted. Usually the price is cut in half for used parts- which would bring this to $115.00, even at 2/3rds of the new price your looking at $152.00
Taking these into consideration you need to figure out if this intake means more to you in a box, or if it means more as 120-150 bucks in your pocket.
Its tough to take losses, but thats what happens. As a private party seller you cant expect to sell at dealership prices.
Dont take this the wrong way, I'm just trying to help you get some insite into why this thing hasnt sold in the past half year. Its still your sale and you can do with it what you please. Good luck.
