Painting tail lights

i have searched the forums and stuff but i cant find anything that really helps me with what i want to do, i heard that you can buy some kind of paint somewhere that once its dont drying you can just peal it off. and what i want to do is paint the parts of my tail lights but i want to know how you do it cause painting the outside looks lame unless there is no other way to paint it. i was wondering has anybody done this and if so can they help me out and tell me where to buy the paint, what it costs, and what to paint? and also what kind of paint it is?

any help is appreciated

painting stock tail lights? what if you screw up???? the only parts to paint is the reverse. but is it worth the trouble??? if you want to be differant... paint those altezza lights all red. then you will be differant! it has teh stock appeal.. but once lit up.. u'll have round brake lights. i personally think the altezza lights are over rated. like i said before about the LED washers... from novas to neons.. well not novas actually.. heh. but crap.. i see them on mustangs, neon, trucks.. man you name it! it's ugly... in my opinion. =] painting the altezza solid red would be nice.. i would if i had extra money to burn.

I have seen some altezza style lights that are all red except for the reverse light. I would like a pair but I prefer performance to looks. Plus, everyone and there brother, sister, cousin, aunt, uncle, step-brother, you name it, has them. Really, I like them ok but I have a limited budget so...

i want to paint everything! headlights and tail lights... but i'm not sure that it will be possible to peel off the paint unless it is on a glass surface.... so i dunno man... imma try out the paint on an old honda civic clear corner laying around in my house... i hope the results come out good before i apply it to my car.. i've seen some older civics out there that have smoked their tail lights.. and the paint is all shriveled up... cracking... i hope they didnt use the same product i just ordered.

Humm thats a good idea, yeah I was thinking of trying to find a junk yard or something and get a extra set to just practice on with the color. But painting the lights would look awesome, I am really interested in it.
