honda puts some slack on the cable to keep old folks who dont have good control from rear ending peeps,,,,yes its worth it,,,takes like 2 minutes to do

It's easy right? Is it the same on Si/ex as on Lx? I have an LX and the cable looks tight from what I can see, do you still think its worth trying to make it tighter?

Yeah its free so of course its worth it Play with it, it'll get tighter, you'll see once u play with it, try it with the engine running to see where u need to tighten it to. Helps with more positive shifts for me since i have a dead left foot. Peace.

thats the 1st DIY to my car once i 1st bought it. I tapped on the gas pedal and i heard a click.. i decided to open the hood and look at the cable. it has so much slack. i basicly wound the nut all the way back and re tighted the bolts.

exactly the same way... adjusting the throttle can be done to almost all cars out there. =]
