Re: Installed RSX rear sway but some noise
I'd shoot the bushings, and tighten the end links. If it still makes sounds, then think about blowing the $'s on the end links.
as far as end links go... either grays, hot chicks or... hmm, didnt spc or someone make some... cant remember at the moment. OEM should be fine unless your really pushing your suspension.

Re: Installed RSX rear sway but some noise
seriously crank those endlinks until you cant anymore. you have to think about how much force is put on the sway bar. just go at them until you're red in the face and your veins are about to pop out...haha.

Re: Installed RSX rear sway but some noise
i honestly cant tell whether you installed the swaybar correctly, but sometimes people mistakenly install it on upsidedown. when i did mine, i was careful to note how the swaybar looked and made sure it was rightside up.
the endlinks shouldnt need to be replaced, so long as they're not damaged.

Re: Installed RSX rear sway but some noise
i cant wait to get one of these. aside from the noise..how does it feel...are u satisfied liek pretty much everyone else? how much did u get urs for?
Re: Installed RSX rear sway but some noise
I <3 mine and paid about 65 for it i think, 75 shipped
like everyone has said though, tighten everything as much as you can and give it a shot. if that doesn't fix it, try new/greasing the bushings

I'd use white lithium because thats what I have on hand... doesnt hold up to the elements too well, you'll want something thicker.
get some polyurethane bushings for the sway if they keep squeeking.

I just burnt my tongue

Re: Installed RSX rear sway but some noise
you shouldnt have to grease your bushings. especially if you have rubber bushings. getting polyurathane bushings could make the noise worse since you have to keep them greased up or they'll squeek. but, if you must grease something up, use some synthetic grease. it should come in a tube and be redish in color.

Re: Installed RSX rear sway but some noise
The thing wit this noise sounds like somethin is rattling... I went under and tightenin up the sway connectin to the endling and the bushin nuts. took a lil drive around the block but I still hear it... Grrr time 2 grease it up but so much 2 choose from.
Re: Installed RSX rear sway but some noise
If its under cornering and it sounds like a loud thud then its probably ur bushings. Usually happens because the bar can't torque in the bushing itself, at least that is what I concluded.
With poly bushings your going to need to grease them for the same reason, even more often because of the fact that poly bushings don't deform hence the increase in stiffness.
As for the type of grease, anything should do. No need to buy some crazy lube because its just ur bushings. Anything for rubber will do fine.

Re: Installed RSX rear sway but some noise
What I hate doin is takin this **** off again... Oh well Im a go get some grease and grease em up. But I usually hear this noise when goin over some bumps. And when I grease these baby's up do I need to tak off the WHOLE sway bar again???
Re: Installed RSX rear sway but some noise
Just take off the brackets, that hold the bushing, and remove the bushings. Take the bushings and lube them and put them back on the bar, and reinstall the brackets. You don't need to remove the bar off the endlinks.

I even greased up the sway bar part that looked rusted at the end links on the left. I took it for a quick spin and notice the noise is fadin but I wanna get these nuts off so I can do it proper

Re: Installed RSX rear sway but some noise
My bad not the end links. Its the nuts holdin the guard on the bushing. The one on the driver side needs 2 raise up and screw in but damn the wrench not clingin onto em. What 2 do???

Re: Installed RSX rear sway but some noise
LOL how do you strip the bracket nuts?! Talk about tightening **** down way to hard and using the wrong tools.
Ok heres what you do, get yourself a set of vise grips and remove the bolt, go the honda buy new ones then install them with the right tools. Take your time and install it right. If you did that the first time, you wouldn't have this problem.
Don't forget to lube those bushings!

Re: Installed RSX rear sway but some noise
yY'all wont believe me that I graduated from universty after hearin this... I was usin the wrong size to unloosen the nut
Well I went out there and unbolted the nuts and pushed the sway up a lil but I screwed in one side good but the other side is a lil low and the noise is a LOT less now. Gonna get it right sooner or later.

Man I still don't understand how one side can be lower than the other, are you install one bracket upside down?
I think you need to go back to college. Seriously.

Re: Installed RSX rear sway but some noise
should be 12mm and 14mm are the only 2 sizes you need for sockets. that's what mine were. i junked the stock links with the stock sway bar too. i went with grey's endlinks on mine. i love it. the stock links compared to greys are like comparing a toothpick to a grown tree. the stock links suck!

Re: Installed RSX rear sway but some noise
The end links are great. Im a get down to it today. It was a lil dark when I did it yesterday and I have a parked car in my garage so that's why I had no light
. But so far the noise has eased down plenty
