i'm looking to sell my civic but i was involved in a car accident a year ago and now my car is salvaged. It has been repaired with all oem parts and is working great, I know a salvage title really hurts the value of the car. my car kbb is 14.5k (i have a 2005 lx auto sedan). So how much should i be looking for with the salvaged title?

go to kbb and fill in the blanks. when it asks you what condition the car is in (excellent, good, fair, poor), select poor, as this is the option for a title with salvage or other branding

It really is only a matter of taking the right steps to go from a salvage title to a rebuilt title. With salvage, insurance companies won't insure it, and you're kinda s.o.l. But going to the State police, having them do the inspection, you can then get it labled as a rebuilt title, and sell it for what its worth, or damn close.

if the title isn't clean, it will never sell for what it's "worth". besides, it's worth is based on the condition and the title history, so it will sell what it's worth, but not what it would be worth with a clean title. rebuilt is not a clean title obviously.
