Has anyone tried the ebay underbrace?
Looking around ebay and stumbled upon these underbraces that are affordably priced and look like pretty good pieces. Sorry if this is a repost.
Anyone have one of these?

Do you think the first one will block the oil drain bolt?

don't buy suspension parts from ebay unless they're legit. I'm guessing those underbraces will rust or bend in no time. Be smart and buy the right one first, go with tanabe or megan.

If you needed one, and ebay made a seat belt replacement- wouold you buy it, or invest in quality parts?

Yeah I understand what Triz is getting at, but this is just a suspension add on. Nothing hazardous to human life will come of adding this (I hope).
just wondering if anyone had these pieces and had feedback on fitment, quality, etc.
yeah its cheap, but that isn't always a bad thing. For the first item, they took the tanabe underbrace copied it exactly, and since its manufactured in China, its a lot cheaper. Thats what I'm thinking.

to let you guys know I have the h-brace thats on ebay but got it trough megean insted of ebay, it didn't bend on me yet jus that if your car is slammed to the ground your going to scrape and mess up you h-brace but for handeling wise it's a good suspension upgrade if you wana hang some turns good for track, you 'll fell it trust me I hanged a turn down here in hawaii @ 75mph and didn't slide or any thing but hey thats what I experence aights so before you guys flame on me try it then flame but willing to answer all your guys ?
Re: Has anyone tried the ebay underbrace?
it's not the parts that are questionable... it's the quality. You said you got yours from megan. That's a reputable company. All were saying is that he should get his parts from a company like tanabe or megan instead of getting it off ebay and praying that it doesn't bend or just break.
Re: Has anyone tried the ebay underbrace?
They both look good. I would just be worried about the welds. I've purchased my strut bars off ebay, and from the guy in the second link. The welds were a little small. So i just grinded them down and welded new ones.

Re: Has anyone tried the ebay underbrace?
Cheap underbody bracing is not the best idea i think. They are usually inferior knockoffs of major brand products, and use cheaper grade materials and weaker construction than tanabe or carbing or watever.
Also, underbody braces like the tanabe x-brace i use bolt into the underbody subframe/lca bolts and thus your safety is riding on those bolts staying in.
These pieces help a lot in reducing body roll during cornering. But this body roll is heavy physical stress and cheap bracing may break because of it.
All i know is i wouldn't risk it just to save a few dollars. Quality car parts have the reputation because they are built to perform and last.

Re: Has anyone tried the ebay underbrace?
on a side note... the underbracing for our cars doest do much. i'd say skip this and get yourself a nice strut bar or swaybars.
Re: Has anyone tried the ebay underbrace?
yea i got a megan h brace. i too was looking to buy off ebay but sometimes they have pictures of one thats megan and send some other thing. so i too bought from megan . the welds look good perfect in fact looks like a roll of coins. suspension wise i really dont even know. car felt little stiffer but then again i installed it with the progress front sway. but sucks *** on the dips and bumps cuz scratches. doesnt scratch alot but when it does you definitly feel it.
