SixSigmaRacing Header for the RSX/DC5

I had read around here that any header for the RSX would fit a K20-EM2 swap... People suggestin Comptech, SSR, Buddy Club, etc. Ended up choosing the SSR header for the performance gains and quality.

Then I come to hear that it doesn't work with the front sway bar? Is this one of those, I need a DC5R front sway... Or will the header simply not fit?

Simply not fit... hits the header itself.

what Progress sway? RSX or EM2?

I have heard several times you can run any header with a hotchiks front sway.

I think it's an EM2 front sway, but I'm not sure. Is there a big difference?

considering a EM2 doesnt have the manifold coming off the rear of motor, i would say there is lol. Its a bigger loop in the middle of the sway.

Re: SixSigmaRacing Header for the RSX/DC5

To run DC5R, You would need JDM Front LCA'S, axles.

I am assuming you will run either SI or RSX axles with Si sub frames.

Toda, Whiteline will clear.
Here's Toda front sway I had.

SSR > Any other Aftermarket race header out there.

Wish I could afford one.

Re: SixSigmaRacing Header for the RSX/DC5

my stock ex would have fit but the k24 was too high, didn't have a front sway for a while because every one said it would hit.

when i put my k20 in, i put my progress front in. works fine...

Re: SixSigmaRacing Header for the RSX/DC5

Yes, I will be running Si axles/sub frame. I was under the impression that you did not need the JDM front LCAs to run the JDM front sway...

I think in order to runa dc5r sway bar you need JDM front LCA's. Ask the guys on clubrsx.

Re: SixSigmaRacing Header for the RSX/DC5

SSR makes the headers for the K20 swaps and it will fit with the EM2 Sway from what i have read, the BC is the only other comparable header for the cost

Re: SixSigmaRacing Header for the RSX/DC5

Old thread, but.....I need to know if anyone is running the STRUP RH, and if so, with what front sway bar?? BTW, I am getting the STRUP RH for a good deal, so Im not interested about which RH is best, just which sway bar will clear a STRUP RH.....and from what I have heard, the STRUP and DCRH are very similar, so let me know what sways (brand and DC5/DC5R/EM2) you are running with the DCRH as well.....THANKS!!!

Re: SixSigmaRacing Header for the RSX/DC5

Well, I will be recieving my Toda RH and Toda sway bar soon.....I hope this fits correctly. Luckily from what people are saying here, the Today sway clears most of these headers, and hopefully that includes their own on this application. New custom catback on the way as well!!

Re: SixSigmaRacing Header for the RSX/DC5

RAZRBLD....could you take any pics of where the header connects to the custom piping? I am trying to figure out if I can fit a small hi flow cat in their as a removal piece to swap in a test pipe section when I need to. Its hard to predict what kind of room I will have, but with your piping it would help a lot to see better pictures of the how the header back piping will connect. Thanks.

Re: SixSigmaRacing Header for the RSX/DC5

OK, thanks Phil....Ive alredy ordered my RH, resonator and muffler...but am trying to fit a removable cat in there somewhere after the RH....the RSX guys are doing it, but I need to see what kind of room Im working with here before I try to piece that together. Im interested in the clearance area on the underbody of the car where the RH and exhaust meet, and the area before the resonator. Thanks!
