Smile Any thoughts on the 2007 Honda 4dr sedan EX??

I'm looking into buying my first Honda civic (2007) and after a few weeks of research I've found the 4dr sedan EX to be a nice model & fuel efficient. Any opinions on this model or any other before I buy? anyone out there pay a good price on this model? And any good advice on getting a good deal? Thanks~~

well if you're not gonna fix it up and want a car with good gas mileage then yes go ahead and get the you are looking at. or you can get the civic hybrid. those things got awsome gas mileage. but yea, they are nice cars. they dont cost all that much either. i say about...17 or 18 grand? 19 grand at the most? the honda dealerships around my area sells them for about 18 grand. if you like going fast then go get a civic Si. and yes they did come out with a 4 door Si. might want to look into that one too. hope you know how to drive a stick shift.

I went in looking at the 07 LX did not have my color in a manual so they let me drive an EX...I liked it alot and as we walked to the showroom to talk "numbers" they had a SI. My wife said why not this one? It was only 2grand more than EX. It has much better wheels and tires, better stereo w/ sub woofer bulit in, and the engine so much more hp and seats more gripping.
If you are going for gas milage go for EX other wise SI for sure.

Hey LivJanny,

Go for it....I think it is a great car!! It kinda reminds me of my old CRX SI that I used to have only with two more doors. I have the EX NBP Sedan-5sp and I love IT!!! Looks great, fun to drive and can carry my baby's car seat!!!

Go for it, I just bought a 07 EX with Navi about 3 weeks ago. If I were you I would definitely get the Navigation system and Music Link Cable(if you have an I-Pod). I payed right around 20k for mine. I thought it was a pretty good price

Any of the new generation civics are a good bet. I have had a 06 Ex and more resently a 07 Si and I loved both. I do love my Si more though gotta love the LSD,6 speed, VSA, and last but forsure not last the K20Z3.

We just got an 07 EX Sedan back in December. We love it so far. My wife commutes to school everyday so we needed something good on gas mileage that looked good. We payed 17k out the door. Just waiting for some good aftermarket stuff to come out. I always usually opt not to get the factory extras cause you can pretty much get all that stuff later on for waaay much cheaper.

I would definitely check out the posting about the A/C condenser problems before making your final decision. This is an expensive fix (600-700) that Honda seems to want to send you through the wringer before considering giving any worthwhile help.
Good luck in your decision.

Re: Any thoughts on the 2007 Honda 4dr sedan EX??

I have had my 2007 Black Civic EX Sedan now for 6 months (12,000km) and can make some remarks.

Overall, it has a combination of sportiness, economy and build quality then many of the similar size cars from Toyota, GM, Hyundai etc.

Some of the minor items which could use some additional engineering:

1) the factory stereo is weak.
2) the doors locks by themselves, and you have to turn the engine off and put the car in Park before you can open the door. (drive me nuts).
3) The power outlet - you cannot use them without the key.
4) The headlights are weak.
5) The horn is weak.
6) There is no badging on the car to say what model it is (other then the Si)

As I said, these are minor items, which can be fixed relatively easily
