10,000 mile check light???

Do i really need to take my car to honda and pay money for them to turn the light off? what do they do when i take it in there and how much does it cost?

If your car is under warranty, then it's free. Otherwise, a maintenance check would be like $86.

to turn the light off it might be free, but my car is under warranty and i assure you that the 10k maintenance isn't free... i just had mine done last week.

! When I meant "free" I meant that you didn't have to pay up front when you brought your car there IF it's under warranty. I have the receipt and that's how much it said... $86. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

In your owners manual there are instructions on how to turn off the (maint req) light yourself.

The 10k miles service is a rip off!!!!! All they did was change the oil, and rotate my tires. Paid 40 bucks. I also asked about changing the air filter, the service guy said add 12 bucks labor plus 15 for the part. Took me 5 minutes to change that. I have to start doing my own maintainance, saving some money.
