K20 NA Swap, with Turbo Lag?

K20 NA Swap, with Turbo Lag?
Well it feels like turbo lag (0 RPM - 3000RPM) when i have the throttle 1/2 to WOT.
It just bogs then power kicks in, in the upper ranges of the tach.(Before VEEEEEEE TAKKKKK)
In every gear. More noticable in 1rst,2nd,and 3rd Gear
Sometimes it bogs throughout the rev range, esp. after a heavy rain, or I power wash the car
Anyone else have this problem?
K20 type s swap into a 4dr 2k1 civic.
Stock motor w/ JDM type R ECU
Could it be?
1. Coil Packs going?
2. Water contamination somewhere?
3. Fuel not being delivered fast enough?
4. plugged Fuel Filter?

Rep Power: 424 I'm thinkin its got something to do with a timing/injector pulse difference. The Type R has bigger cams in it, and you're probably bogging it down with too much gas. Get an A2 ECU, flash it or Kpro it.
^ You should be ok to run the JDM ECU, if you say this only happens after you wash the car or if it is raining, you might want to check any exposed wiring that can come in contact with water. Might just be bad grounding causing the car to drive rough. Double check all the wiring.. maybe you just need to do a tune-up.

Rep Power: 285 If it only happens after ran/wash then its probably wires or something that is exposed to water. If it runs fine during dry then its probably not the ECU.

the type r ecu does not have the immobilizer BUT it does have a fuel cut off if the harness is ont grounded properly or kpro isnt attached to it to over ride said cut off, might be your issue might not just 2 pennies that i had laying around.

Rep Power: 251 well he said it was LIKE turbo lag, since that was basically what he was comparing it to. Using VtecH could have been a mistake. There's is nothing in his thread that said he did something wrong. Little problems like this occur when diong a swap. No one here has done a swap and ended up with no problems what so ever the first time around. there is always little things you got to work out.
