I had a problem reaching my firewall hole (on right side on passenger side). So i went thru the door instead, works just as well. Theres a little hole under the hood that is right next to the driverside door, i ran a wire thru it and it came out the hole where the door hinge thingy is and i ran it under the plastic behind the little holder that i keep my change in.
if youve got a manual it is tought, but i managed to find a small hole on the drivers side. if you open the hood and look back right where the steering wheel is, you will see this single red wire that goes through the firewall. take a coat hanger and poke a hole in the rubber that holes the wire in place and it works like a charm.

i did that also but changed the wiring to through the firewall. in time i noticed the rubber weather seal wasn't as tight. and the plastic you pass through warps. the biggest reason was the constant sound of the doorwistling, like its open because of the warped weather seal.
i didn't help that i used 4 gauge wire.
you can run through the firewall hole. its a little trickey, but not unreasonable. it looks cleaner and keep road noise to a minimum

There should already be wires running inside your car from stock wires. Just use a knife and cut along side of the rubber housing and run your wires next to the stock wires. safest way to do it. Don't drill any holes like the other guy, you might cause your car to catch fire.

It's really easy guys. get inside your car and peel back the carpeting on the upper left side of the passenger floor sorta behind the stereo. There is a rubber grommet with wires already running through, and room for several more.
