d17a2 head swap

i have a 2004 civic dx. could i swap the head i have now, a d17a2 (non-vtec), for a d17a2 vtec head? would i need different wiring, sensors, etc.? does anyone know?

check your engine number again. you have a d17a1 non vtec head. this is a very easy swap if you know what youre doing. you need the a2 vtec head, new headgasket, and a vafc2 or an ecu from an ex 7thgen. if you swap ecus getting the engine harness would be nice so you dont have to run any wires yourself.
