FS or Trade: 1982 Mazda Rx-7

I'm not sure if this is the right section fo not but I wanted to sell this car locally, so if it's in the wrong section can the mods please move it?

First of all this is not one of those b-s scammers that post in every forums trying to get a fake car sold, I can assure you this is the real deal.

The reason I'm selling my car is beacause I need the money for college (NJIT) and a good daily driver. That and I got another project car so there's not space for two cars.

I'm asking 4.75k for the car obo, but I'm willing to trade for a 92-95 civic, must be stock and in good condition.

My 82 Mazda Rx-7 Gs. 92k original miles on the chassis, 5k on the motor.
Engine & Exhaust Mods

88 N/A rotor housings, with 81 12a side and intermediate housings (making this a 4 port engine). 91 N/A rotating assembly. Atkins rotary full rebuild kit. Racing beat high flow oil pump.Massive street port. Racing Beat header w/ dual pipes straight through to the RB muffler, unrestricted in anyway.

Intake and Fuel delivery mods

Racing beat 4 port intake manifold for Holley's. Holley 600 cfm single pump carburetor, mechanical secondaries and electric choke. All vacuum lines removed, all emissions removed. Holley blue fuel pump and regulator supplying a constant 10 psi to the carb, monitored by a summit racing fuel pressure gauge located in the engine compartment. The intake manifold has been lightly ported at the top where it meets the carb just to see what it would do, added a light bit of power but more importantly, throttle response.

Interior

The interior has the stock 82 GS dash with the limited 85mhp Speedo (it was the only year that came with it). Stewart Warner 10k rpm tachometer and water temperature gauge. The interior is black on grey with 91 Honda prelude seats fitted to the car (they might not sound good but they're comfortable and look good in the car.) Pioneer head unit with 4 way pioneer speakers both front and back in the stock mounting locations (3in in front, 6in in back). 2 Pioneer 10in subs in a custom box coupled to a pioneer 780watt amp. 85 GSL-SE power windows have been adapted along with power mirrors (currently not functioning but all the wiring is there). Heater core replaced for winter use (even though I bypassed it cause the temp. doesn't even allow my to use the heat)

Exterior

Paint is completely custom, using a mica green base under a charcoal grey top coat and 4 layers of clear coat (I was there to see each coat go on) costing over $1000 in materials not including labor. The total bill was $2600 including the front and rear bumper replacements (used not new) brand new front fenders and the 85 gsl-se doors. Original wheels have been polished and painted over. The rears have been re-drilled to fit the GSL-SE bolt pattern of the new rear end. GSL-SE rear end, driveshaft and transmission (lsd with 4:10 gears). Brand new street tires in the rear.

The bad

Stock leather headliner is beginning to sag near the hatch (not noticeable until you open the hatch). Small ding in passenger's side door from parking at Pathmark (last time I do that). Car vibrates due to unbalanced driveshaft and rotted transmission mount but is drivable (I drive it every day from work to school and home). Dash is showing it's age and the paint used to paint it is starting to show it's age too (nothing a weekend project couldn't fix). Front windshield molding flew off after hitting speeds in excess of 85mph; I have the right side but not the drive's side. Under hood paint is starting to peel due to high temps and bad prepping and is starting to show on hood's surface. Small clear coat drips on head light covers (can easily be sanded down).

The good

Car starts perfect every single time without over flooding. Electric choke kicks right in and warms the car up for you. The engine is guaranteed to hit 9.5k rpm and not blow, I have personally taken it to 10k rpm on good conditions (cold damp night, air filter off, premium gas ect.) without a hint of over heating, crackling or power loss. Car has been treated like royalty, I won't say I don't beat on my car because I do, I don't do it normally and keep that strictly to the track and on empty roads. Oil changes every 3 months. New AutoZone battery. Tune up every 3rd oil change including new plugs, Mazda wires, cap and rotor, fuel filter (recently eliminated). Washed every other week and waxed once a month in the spring summer and fall months. Undercoated last winter (no need this winter since there has been 0 snow). 92k original miles on the chassis, 5k miles on the rebuilt engine. The car has been my daily driver for 2 years now with no hesitation. I took the car to the track in the fall and ran 16.0 with shitty street tires, a factory clutch, flywheel and pressure plate and a launch of only 3k rpm (it was my first time). I can guarantee this car for 12 sec with a decent set of tires, PP and stage 3 clutch. 10 secs with the 91 TII turbo and the Holley and a good tune (which is what I originally had planned for the car).

Why am I selling it?

Just because I've outgrown the car and was recently given a stock 85 gsl-se. Which I plan to restore as I did this one. I need the money to begin resorting the new one, buy another daily driver and help pay for my books/tuition.

My asking price is 4.75k. I will entertain serious offers but not low-ballers. Considering I spent $3500 on the engine, $2600 on paint and body, $500 on the drive train, ect ect…. I think it's a reasonable asking price.

Let me know if you're interested and if you want any pictures or anything specific or if I left anything out. I can also provide recipts of my engine work along with the name of the engine rebuilder ect. All paint and body work was done by favors but i still had to put in for materials, oven time, and a little somthing for the painter.

My contact information. Fell free to contact me if ur interested.
