installing 7th gen. guage on 6th gen. civic

hello can i install the gauges of the 7th generation civic on the 6 th generation i have 98 civic lxi and also i want to know if i can install the steering wheel of 2006 civic on the 98 civic

I'm gonna say no. I'm sure the shape/size is different, and you'd need a pin out of the plugs on both, so you could do a lot of rewiring. And that assumes the plugs fit, which they probably don't. Maybe you should pull your stock cluster out and compare the two.

with that year, you can et a type r, spoon, gauge cluster and install... i know if you dont have the motor, itll be nice and uber sweet to have!

I know that you can do a 7th generation to 6th generation gauge swap because I just did it. The alignment and fit is not quite the best but it looks super awesome. It takes quite a bit of work and I wouldn't suggest doing it unless you know what you're doing. Also about the steering wheel. I'm not sure about that, as I have never done it. But try it and let us know how it goes!
