I have driven civics preludes and accords for many years but in Southern California they are always very expensive to insure because of high theft rates and resale value potential for parts.

Is the insurance itself cheaper because the hybrid aftermarket has not hit its stride yet? I would be very interested to kow this because then driving a Honda overall would be more affordable, and the hybrid issues and benefits would be gravy.

I cant see why it would be more expensive to insure a hybrid compared to an expensive sports car. Most people cant even tell its a hybrid from the outside.. so I cant see how it would be more than a Prelude which does look sporty and probably has a much higher theft rate.
