I found this article.
They can apparently mod your car to get 250mpg but Im pretty sure the car wouldnt last long like that.

Interesting none the less.

Are you sure this isn't a hoax? It seems like the auto companies would have figured that out themselves. Or maybe they did and they're just biding their time.

It is a very interesting article, good find.

Doesnt look like a hoax to me, its a legit site and its engineers doing it.

They are doing it for scientific purposes, just to test it, rather than on-road purposes.

Honda wont make them like that due to costs, environmental factors and risk of things breaking.

By pushing the car to its limits, they wouldn't be able to market the civic as the reliable car it is.

twinkle can only hope to improve
We need to get to that kind of mileage to make them a truely great alternative and really make them viable for general transport.

This 10 miles per gallon nonsense is just not going to attract most people to switch.

I could use a gallon a gas a month! That would be great.

I wonder if we will really see such numbers one day.

Well the Jetsons have flying cars
That would be awesome though... having a car that doesn't break, doesn't take gas and virtually runs itself.

Thats the dream anyway

according to what I have read, the Civic Hybrid gets 600 miles per TANK of gas...250 mpg sounds far fetched.

I think it is far fetched, but thats why its a mod. Who knows what it will do to the long term life of your car though and to be honest there ain't many people out there who will want to mess with their near brand new car that is still under warranty!!
