has anybody installed the tweeter from a pair of Focal 165kf 's in the honda tweeter sail? if so how did you mount the tweeter in the sail. was dremel used and again if so was the factory clip on the back of the sail dremeled around?

Personally, I would install the tweeters in the a-pillars. I run a 165K2P set, and everything that I have heard about them (including from the owner of the Canadian distributor for Focal), is that the a-pillars are the ideal location.

You can either put them higher up on the a-pillar and bring them towards you for a stage that is higher but closer to you, or put them lower down to bring your soundstage away from you, although also lowering it in the process. The choice is yours. I have mine higher up, a little below eye level (I'm 6'2"). Personally I like them where they are, but I've had others say they would probably prefer them better lower and farther away.

I'm not sure off the top of my head how similar the tweeters are between our two sets, but I'm sure they are very close, if not identical. I e-mailed a buddy of mine who will know for sure.
