did some maintenance, now to the track

just got done valve adjustment, new plugs(NGK V-Power), clean air filter(foam ebay), fresh 5w30 synthetic oil change(cleaned oil out of head where valve springs are), change trans fluid(10w30), had a little problem running at first, put it in gear and hit the gas then it hickuped and stalled, prolly from the throttle body cleaner and the starting fluid i put in the combustion chamber to try and eat some carbon up. well i ran a 16.3 for my first run9last wednesday) at the track so lets see if any of this helped, i also put on some 14's which i will drop the pressure once i get to the trac, goin tomorrow, will update when i get home or thursday, had problems shifting and major valve tap, like 4 where out .002", so its much quieter now. oil was do for change too, we'll see, wish me luck, i wanna break 15.5 and then i'll be happy, my k20 will will be in by spring time, so goin fast now doesn't matter, just wanna learn my launch and the track itself.

How many miles do you have to need a valave adj.? Usually most people would wait to do that when maybe doing timing belt/water pump, or so I thought.

supposed to do every 15k but its not really necessary to do it often unless theres a problem like ticking or power loss.

you made a big mistake by using V-power plugs. Stock plugs for D17 and newer honda motors are Premium Laser pluga. they even say that in the shop manual.

they were 1.90 a piece so i got um, i just need to redo my valve adjustment, i think one of the adjusters loosened, cuz i get a raspy tapping when i apply throttle, almost like a rod knock, but its from the top end, i just wish i had my swap done so i can stop fiddling with the 1.7, track was rained out this week but hopefully i can get done there next week and run a high 15, is it possible to over adjust the valves, what would this do, i mite have made them to tight of a tolerance.

i know what they call for, but NGK doesn't make double plat. plugs so the closest thing to them are lazer plat. plugs.
