D17 Rocker Arms
Well, one thing we have noticed on the 7thgen heads we have, is that the valve guides are pretty worn on most of these set-ups. We think it may have to do with the 1.9 ratio, which opens and slams these valves shut pretty aggressively. We are going to begin to address this shortly. We are not sure what we have as far as options, but I will keep the crowd posted.
lol a Dezod crate motor would be sick. I would buy one if it was the right price. But in laymans terms, what does this mean? Dezods got so much going on with the IM and throttle body and all. What else could possibly happen for d17?

Realisitically, depending on how much accessories and parts you wanted in the motor, we could feasibilly do one for a couple of thousand and be ready to handle 350+HP easily. The parts kill you more than the labor in these cases.
I doubt $4500+ unless you wanted some insane race set-up able to handle 40+ PSI.
I wonder if just adding lash caps on the valve stems would help. That would be the easiest if the wear was on the stem. I have been dabbling in the idea of prototyping a stronger rocker assembly with corrected goemetry but I havent got there yet, once it becomes an issue I will try something out. Dezod, are the exhaust and intake ratios different?? At first glance it looks that way.

adding a lash cap will help. I was looking on a site i can't rember which one but all the K20 and the old civic motor like the B16 have caps but not the D17. Someone need to design one or a complete different set up for are cars
