diy blacked out headlights
heres a retarded question, but again im retarded when it comes to things like this... anybody here know how to do it and willing to help me out? i dont feel like spending over $100 for headlights

Heat them up with a heat gun or an oven set to about 140 I think. Double check that. The lights have clips that you need to remove first. Once thats done, they will come right apart. You need to sand down the bezel lightly and get paint. A few coats will work best. Make sure you sanded well as the paint can peel if you don't. I've used a plastic adhesion spray to help the paint stick better. Spray a few coats and then reassmeble with a silicon to seal them back up. Viola!

Thx. They're long gone now. Member OLYTROJAN has them sitting on a shelf here in AZ and they haven't seen the road in over a year. lol

Very easy to do. JT is right, patience is where it's at! If you need help, Me or anyone of the guys if they have spare time would be willing to help ya out.

i was thinking about getting the chrome ones and painting the insert black that way i have chrome signal reflector instead of silver which comes with the black ones hmm. the silver isnt very reflective which is good for hiding the bulbs but not so good for output
