Smile My first Install

I just ordered a Pioneer DEH-P4800MP from crutchfield and I am going to install it myself. This will be my first time installing anything in my car so I am somewhat nervous.

I was just wondering if there is anything important or any tips I should know before attemping this install.

Also am I correct in thinking that there shouldnt be a great risk of shock as long as I disconnect the battery?

/\ also if you wire it properly and connect the battery and it doesnt come on, 9 time out of 10 it's the backup fuse in the engine bay

Deck installation in Civics is actually quite easy. Crutchfield will give you pretty much everything you need. Did you see the DIY's on deck installation? Do some searching.

disconnect of the battery is precautionary. If this is your first time installing I'd do it.

dito, I agree with you, but we have a newbie here. So it is best just to remove the negative battery terminal just in case.
