Metra Double Din kit for Civics at Circuit City

You can view this at the Circuit City website and its only 19.99 if any of you were looking to upgrade your HU setups. I'd be interested to see anyone who has used this kit with a double din dvd player nav screen.

yea, i didn't realize they made double din kits because i always see threads here where everyone is fiberglassing their HU area to fit in double din lcd screens.

i'm not a fan of the empty doorless pocket kits and opted for the metra kit that allows you to keep the OEM lower door compartment.

I had one for a while, that exact kit. I just cut the middle bar out so that both units would fit properly. It fits just fine, but the color match isn't great, the color on the 99-7897 kit, while also not perfect, is much better.
