Wiring Led m3 Mirrors
Ok here is my situation. I have my m3 mirrors installed and my wires ran into the interior of the car. My led colors are blue and white. I would like to wire my blue to a switch so it can be turned on or off at any time. I would also like to wire my white leds to the turning signal. Is that legal first of all to have a white blinker for turning? so anyways i have a switch for the blue ones but my first question is where do i get power for the switch. Im not 100% where to get my 12v dc power. I know i can get it from the fusebox but how. I also know that for the white I i just ground the black and splice into the turn signal but to get to the engine of the car from the cabin do i need to drill through the firewall on the drivers side? Any help would be appreciated

First off the white would be illegal as a turn signal...
you should be able to get power from any wire inside the car as far as the fuses i am not sure what your talking about there.

white is legal in ontario
dont drill into ur firewall, extend the wires and run it through the passegner side firewall, theres a hole there, and run it to ur signals
blue ones
so im guessing thiers three wires
lets assume,
WHITE - for white led
BLACK - ground
BLUE - blue led
black wire you can basically ground it to anything metal, make sure to sand if theirs any paint.
white run it through ur firewall and splice into the turn signal +12
blue run it through ur firewall, with a inline switch on that wire to ur +12 on the turn signal
and ull do this twice of course

does anybody know if its illegal to have my blue leds on all the time in ontario? I dont think the cops will call me on it but i'd rather be safe than get a fine.

ok thanks in ontario its green for fire, red and white for police and ambulance and the law says that you can display those colors but they cannot flash those colors (but flashing with turn signal is fine). Thats wut my dad and a cop told me when i asked.,
