Cracked Manifolds?!

Cracked Manifolds?!
Hey guys, i'm hearing a noise under load in the lower rpm band (1500rpm - 2500rpm) mostly over the sound of the engine sounding like an exhaust gasket thats either going, or a cracked converter manifold. Has anyone ever replaced either one or the other on your cars? and is it common? Thanks for any useful input!
