Connecting Rear Speakers to my Amp
Connecting Rear Speakers to my Amp
Currently I got my front speakers bridged off of my 4 channel KAC 646. I dont have the rears connected at all. All three pairs of RCA are connected to the back of the HU. If I wanted ot connect the rear speakers to the amp, what do I need to do? Do I have to run the rear speaker wires from the HU to the AMP? Or do I simply connect the RCA to the amp, and then run wires from the AMP to the rear speakers? I currently have the factory rears and am gonna replace these with the Alpine Type Rs 6.5 inches. Do I just disonnect the factory speaker connect and tape it off or something and the run wires from the speaker to the AMP?

Best wire setup would be to run speaker wire on all of your speakers to your amp. This is assuming you have aftermarket speakers upfront as well. If their the OEM ones i wouldn't bother connecting them to the amp. Each speaker should be on its own channel. 2 sets of rcas should run from your HU to your amp (front and rear output)
Yes , the fronts are alpines and already connected to the AMP. For the rears is it just a matter of connecting the speaker wire from the AMP to the speakers? All the RCAs have already been brought to the back fo the car, the pairs for the rear and sub are just not connected ot the amp yet.
