KPRO question
Hi, im about to trade some stuff for a Kpro ECU and whanted to know if there is any phisical way of recognicing a Kpro´ed Type S ecu, also is there anyway to know if its working if i dont have a running car right now, like with a laptop or something?

I don't know much about this but if its like any other computer management i have seen it should have a serial number and part number so look up the part number and make sure it matches. And as for checking it I doubt you can check it unless you run your car but i could be wrong.

A krpo'd ecu will have a ubs port on it compared to a regular ecu.
if you want a certain type of ecu such as a type S. look for the code in the serial # PRB
prc is Type R

cases can always be changed (mine is in a stock civic lx case, so a PND or other case could be swapped too i presume), so i guess without hooking it up, you couldn't really know. if someone you know has a type s, plug it up, and see if the reverse lockout solenoid is functional i guess...
