This is frustrating.
ITS LONG I KNOW BUT PLEASE TAKE A FEW MIN. ON THIS ONE. i recently "upgraded" from a power acoustik LT-1920 to a Hifonics BXi1606D, hoping it was gonna be an overall better amp, i was just hurt after i installed it, its a feeling of i fu**ing threw my money away, im hoping theres something wrong and not that the amp just literally sux. well the amp is a mono block but with 2 pairs of speaker outputs (dual mono outputs i guess), my subs are two 12" single vc @ 4ohms a piece, i know how to wire in parallel and in series and in combination of both, according to the book wiring the amp in parallel means one speaker goes in one output and the other speaker in the other output, like if the amp had 2 channels, total load of 2ohms, my problem is when u turn up the radio about half way up, the amp produces bass notes that are not in the music like if the speakers were not working in conjunction the other really messed up thing is now its drawing a super significant amount of power from the electrical system of my car, class D amp isnt it suppose to be power efficient? ne ways none of this was happening with my old power acoustik, so any support would be appreciated
Gonna guess on this one I have lack of experiance with subs.
1) power wire for your amp is running with the speaker wire
2) amp wants too much power your car doesn't want to put it out. battery upgrade?
3) week ground on the amp, check the gauge of wire and what its grounded to. if your amp is in the trunk, best to ground off of your frame rail.

ive checked almost everything, i was actually able to get some online help from a tech at maxxsonic, last thing he came up with is the RCA's are shorted out or the head unit has a bad ground and it's getting it's ground from the amp through the RCAs', i havent tried that but i will today. but hey thanx for ur concern
