Time Attack at Firedbird 7/15
Did anyone go to the time attack they had at Firebird Raceway this past Sat? I think I saw Ponyman driving through the resting/parking area. Not sure though.
Yup it was him. I remember the license plate "sxystng" now.

Yup and he spun out coming around the corner on the straight.
Pretty scary! So freakin nice. There was an Evo 7 out there, K-Sport had their JDM rsx, really ncie as well.Dyno-comp's Sti was insane, fireball every shift
Yeah, I was there, so you probably saw me. I am thinking about hooking up with that group and doing some stuff with them. I went to talk to a guy about helmets and their gig.
If anyone is interested they have a website at: http://clubracingaz.com/
As for the "drifting," I went over to watch for a little while. It was as I expected. More people skidding out of control as opposed to drifting. There were a few people there that could handle a car pretty damn well, but MOST were hacks that watched F&F3 one too many times IMHO. I know it takes skill, but don't let me over hear you talking about your badass drift when you went 360 on on corner and didn't even squeek on the rest....Yes, some I did here some guy like that, luckily his buddies called his BS so I didn't have to...
But that was definitely a bad *** event. It just made me want to run the Roush even more....

A lot of those guys "drifting" weren't even the real deal. I counted a couple that actually could handle their cars but the rest were just wanna beees!
Off topic:

I swear if I hear that one more time I think I am going to scream...I know the rims are tiny, I'm gonna go with Roush 18x10, not as big as some people would like, but I still get sidewall which is important in muscle cars. I went to a Roush get-together yesterday and I made the realization as to how tiny my rims and tires were, I was the only one there with 8 inch wide rims, everybody had something x 10 inch rims....If anyone has the $1600 for the rims and another $800 for tires, please send me a pm and I will give you the paypal address to send the money.....
jeez...u could pick up some cobra r replicas for cheap and run those for a while...or you can get the imitation rousch wheels from tire rack with 285s out back for under 2k shipped.

Your right, I could get some CHEAP wheels and some CHEAP tires that would look good for a few years....However, I want the wheels that go with the car which would make it a Stage 1 and when I put the suspension on it will be a Stage 2...I think I might be able to get the wheels for $1200 which would still leave me with $800 that would get some pretty decent tires....
