Noob amp question.

Damn, I hate to sound like I don't know what to do, but I don't. I wanna hook up my amp to a switch. I don't need to know how to wire up the switch, but rather which wire to run. Remote, or power? Sorry that this is such a stupid question. Feel free to put stupid answers.

Ruamit03 is an unknown quantity at this point
Well if you have a after market head unit....i assume you do since you are running remote wire, you should be able to turn the amp off thru the head unit...but if you still want a switch i don't see why a switch on the remote wire wouldn't work.

Yep. Simple SPST switch on the remote wire works. A friend of mine bought a cheap HU, fried the remote output lead, so he had to do it this way.
