Axle/CV boot question
Just a little problem. I let my ripped CV boot go for about 2 months now... I knowwww..... So, now whenever I stab the gas the car jerks to the right (the cv boot that ripped was the front passenger)... So I'm thinking maybe I've ruined my axle and thats why. So, a friend told me that I'm probably to far gone, that I can't just replace the CV boot, that it wouldent help. He says that I'll seed to basically replace the entire half shaft on my passenger side. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Same thing happened on my 94 accord. It ended up cheaper to replace the whole CV Axle than just the boot. Just go ahead and replace the whole thing. Sometimes you can find re-built parts for cheaper too. Contact a local shop...not the dealer..they'll nail you on labor and parts.

That's what I figured. So can someone give me a breakdown, in laymans terms, on what I need to do, parts wise, or what I need to say to a shop?

Hmm, I was just going to go get one of those aftermarket oem replacements from Autozone, etc. I've never even had to think about this so I'm kinda at a loss.
