Just bought .....thought I share

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...874695,00.html

I just bought it and installing tonight......to me this is a big upgrade becuase I was using a dual motorized cd player that was on its last limb. All I could play was radio....nothing else. SO I will post pics later tonight probably. Built in crossover=great.

Now on to some new subs and amp...any suggestions

Got it installed today......took about hour. It sits to much inside, and we screwed it in to the furthest hole. Ill post picks in the day time so you can see what I mean. maybe I need something that I dont have. Other than that, its a great radio. I also installed Premier TS-W126DVC. I will get ported box tomm. and get a little more money to buy amp. Right now a 600 watt amp is pushing the 12's, sounds ok....needs more umph though. Next move will be amp, then maybe some speakers. pics tomm.

You may need a different dash kit I have the same problem with my alpine its to far in. There is one that mounts the unit flush but I forgot the name it only ran about 15 dollars.

Nice looking deck... I love the blue but if I had it for my car I would have to change the dash lighting to blue as well.

Luckily my Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X679 almost matches the amber color of my dash lights perfectly. <sigh> Still wish I had blue lighting though.

if you want some slammin bass, i have a pair of MTX Thunder8000 15"s in a dual-chambered sealed box that i'll hook you up with for $300... maybe less... hell, make me an offer, and we'll go from there...

i also have a modded KX1200.1 putting out 1610 watts @ 1 ohm... that should be enough "umph" for you... $500?.. $450?... again, make me an offer... and good luck with your system

That is a real nice deck for the money. I always buy Pioneer CD players. I actually just bought the new 6800 for my Dakota, love it so far and the EQ is great and easy to use.

I have one similar to that but its a 7800MP model. Nice sounding deck and it is an upgrade from the Eclipse I had. Fits in the dash nicely if you get the single din dash kit that lets you keep the pocket underneath.
