Agravation....
I just put in a pair of polk momo's in the front of my car, a 12" Kicker CompVR, and a Kicker 700watt 5h amp. When i turn the car all the way on and get the engine running i can here noise coming out of the speakers even when the volume on my deck is at zero. Also, the sub motorboats, pulsates, again at zero volume. Ive played with the gain and crossovers on the amp, ive tried new RCA's, i melted the ground wire for my LED fuse holder cleaning up the power wires a bit, I have tried three different ground locations. I just dont know what the frick to do anymore. Help would be greatly appreciated.
Oh and if it was needed to know, Power and Sub RCA's are run on the passenger side, and 4ch RCA's and speaker wire aer run on the left side.
Im using monter cable speaker wire and Tsunami Power and RCA's.
Thanks in advance.

ON only, tried new RCA's everywhere.... still does it =(. IM gonna try a new headunit see if that helps, ill keep you guys updated, maybe it will help someone in the future.
I did have the same problem too, so I bought a ground loop isolator (GLI) and it fixed it. When I would turn the car off, my subs would turn on full power for about 5 seconds while the amp was still on. It was really strange, but then one day it just quit. I took off the GLI and it worked fine, almost like it was haunted.

Tried a GLI and it removed all the low frequency from my sub. I shortened my ground wire to about 11" and i ran a seperate ground for my radio (apparently the factory ground isnt terrific) It helped but the problem isnt compleletly solved. Stil havent tried a new deck but im pretty sure thats what it is. Ive eliminated every other variable. I can live with it as long as the gains are turned down i suppose. 8volt preouts dont take much. Ill repost if i ever get off my lazy **** and swap decks.
One of three problems for the alternator whine:
1- Most common is the running of the power wire along the same side as the RCA cable.
2- Bad grounds or insufficient gauge of ground wire leading.
3- Try grounding your amp and radio to the same location. I had to run mine to the back area where the other two amps were grounded to eliminate the whine.

you can filter the power wire, and youll eliminate the problem.
an inductor on the constant 12 volt side of things should do it.
or you can leave the ground loop isolator in there, too.
