If you don't believe me, try using SuperPi on 32m with 4 DIMMs of DDR400, and then with 2 DIMMs of DDR400 (matching pair in slot 1 and 2, or in slot 3 and 4). Compare the times.
In case you didn't know SuperPi is basically the Dyno for measuring memory performance.

Hey guys, the ram is sold.
Regarding what AzNR4C3RX is saying though, I thought that as long as the ram is paired (with another exact stick) that they it'll run smoothly on that channel? So MBison, for example, has 4 x 512 sticks. If they are paired, then is it not just as fast as 2 1gb sticks (considering they're the same speed)?
